Thintane Foundation is a proudly South African, women-led,
independent Non-Prot Organisation (NPO) established in October
2020 as the community development and corporate social investment
(CSI) arm of Thintane Investments, a 100% Black-owned company. We are committed to driving inclusive development in Southern Africa through evidence-based, people-centered solutions that respond directly to the needs of the most vulnerable..

We exist to bridge the gap between government systems, the private
sector, and underserved communities, creating a collaborative model
that delivers practical and sustainable change. Our focus is on enabling
people to become active agents in their own development by providing
resources, capacity-building, mentorship, and access to opportunity.
What sets us apart is our deep understanding of the local context, our
trust-based relationships in communities, and our ability to execute at
both grassroots and institutional levels. Our programmes are designed
not only to address immediate social and economic challenges such as
poverty, unemployment, gender inequality, and access to services but
also to build long-term resilience and local leadership.

We believe real transformation begins at the community level, and that
meaningful development must be rooted in dignity, ownership, and
sustainability. Through multi-sectoral interventions from youth and
women empowerment to rural enterprise development, food security,
early childhood education, and digital inclusion Thintane Foundation is
nurturing a generation of change-makers and building a new model of
African development: locally led, globally scalable.

We are trusted by private sector partners and public institutions alike,
having delivered impactful programmes in collaboration with leading
corporates such as Heineken South Africa and Pernod Ricard, as well as
government-aligned initiatives in enterprise development, social
protection, and alcohol harm reduction.
Today, as we scale our vision, we are seeking strategic partnerships with
international funders who believe, as we do, that with the right support,
communities can transform their own futures. Thintane Foundation is not

people of Southern Africa.
